Brynn is already 2 weeks and 2 days old! It is crazy how quickly the time has passed.

We are still trying to get into a routine, but that is easier said than done. Until Friday night, I would have sworn to you that she would always sleep through the night. Not anymore! She was up every two hours to eat! I guess that is why she is growing so quickly!

First week on our own

Brynn is a week and 4 days old already! I can't believe how quickly she is already growing! : ( This was our first week on our own as Jantzen returned to work and our family members have all gone back home. The first few days were a little difficult for the simple reason that I wanted to be "super mom." I had a million things planned for us to do (newborn pictures, tons of visits, errands, etc.) After a couple of afternoon breakdowns, I figured out that such a busy schedule for a week postpartum mommy and a newborn baby wasn't a good thing. On Wednesday, we stayed home to relax. It was wonderful!!!!! Glad I got that one figured out!

Here are a couple of new pictures of Ms. Brynn. She is definitely changing!

Brynn Isabella Cole has arrived!!!

Our long awaited daughter has finally arrived! Brynn Isabella Cole was born on August 24th at 11:50 a.m. weighing in at a petite 6 lbs. 4 oz, and measuring 19 inches long. Jantzen and I may be biased, but we are certain she is the most beautiful baby girl we have ever seen! She is amazing!

We were released from the hospital on Wednesday, and came home to a house full of family members. My parents and Jantzen's parents and brother were in town through today. It was hard to see them all go, but wonderful to see the love that surrounds our little angel. We are so blessed to have such a great support system!

Here are some pictures of Brynn and her loving family. Enjoy!

Laura,

I just saw your comment, and was so excited to hear from you! What is your email address? I want to hear about your new job! (Can I write a post to a person? Is that within the blogging guidelines?) : )

Baby Update

Jantzen and I just got back from my 39 week doctor appointment, but apparently I am no closer to having this baby girl than I was at 20 weeks. No progress at all! However, I am now scheduled to be induced next Friday night at 8, so she should be born Saturday morning!!!!!!! (August 29) Obviously she could come before then, but at least we have a latest possible scenario. Anyway, please pray for her safe arrival. I'll post pictures as soon as she arrives!

My First Blog!!!

For a few years now, friends have been asking me to either sign up on Face Book or start a blog. Well, to my credit, I did actually create a Face Book account, but that is pretty much where it ended. I can't even tell you my password to log on! (Kudos to those of you that are computer savvy enough to do that stuff.) Anyway, I figured a blog was more conducive to talking about my little growing family anyway, so here it goes......................

A quick bit of background to catch you up.......

In February of 2005, I met the Jantzen Cole, who would be my husband after a quick whirlwind romance. Anyone who knows me well enough to read this blog, also knows that we met at Starbucks on Union in Memphis where I was a barista and he was a customer with a thing for a younger college girl. Well, it turns out that I had a thing for an older man in return. I was a sophomore at Baptist College of Health Sciences at the time, and he was in marketing at Wright Medical (he is a biomedical engineer by trade...... and oh, by the way, he also has 2 patents; yup, I married a genius) In March of 2005, he was offered a job as an orthopedic sales representative for the same company in Little Rock. This was an incredible opportunity, so we decided to get married and move to Little Rock! (Those of you who care enough to read this, also probably gave me tons of grief for this move; out of love of course!) After 6 months of long distance dating (thank goodness for Southwest direct flights too and from Dallas) I finally moved to Little Rock to live with our wonderful minister and his family until we were married on June 17th of 2006.

We went to San Fransisco on our honeymoon, and when we returned, I finally moved into our home with Jantzen and our first born, Toby, a 110 lb. lab mutt. He is lazy as can be, and we love him that way!

Flash forward 3.5 years later, and there is no doubt we made the best decision of our lives. We live an incredibly blessed life full of love and happiness, and we are expecting our first baby girl ANY DAY NOW!!!!!!!!!! Being a little crazy by nature, (or could I substitute the word, "spontaneous" in place of crazy?) we just listed our house on the market last weekend, and are building a house that will be complete in November. Did I mention that all of this is happening while I'm like 12 months pregnant? : ) Through God, all things are possible!!!!!! Please pray for our sanity during this time!

Now that I have caught everyone up on our lives, I will try to be consistent with updates so that I don't fail to document yet another 3.5 years of our lives together. Of course, there are tons of great things that I have failed to mention because 3.5 years of vacations and events would be a lot of recap, but no one really cares about that stuff as much as Jantzen and I do anyway. (There are several pictures to the side if you are interested though) All that I can say is that life is good! Thank you God for everything you have done for us! I don't deserve such a wonderful husband and a child, but I get to have both. What a blessing!

On another note, I have to admit that I am terrible about taking pictures. I'm usually having too much fun to make the effort, so I don't have any of our family members posted on here. I pledge to be better about that in the future because Jantzen and I love you all so much, and want you be a part of the blog too! (Especially since you all are the people who will be primarily reading it!) : )

Vermont 2008

Vermont 2008
We went to Vermont in October of 2008, and loved it so much that we dream about moving there often. Maybe we will retire there in about 40 years!

We stayed at several bed and breakfasts while traveling throughout the state.

We chose Vermont because of the incredible road biking. Drivers are much friendlier to bikers there than they are in Little Rock!

We stayed at the Kendron Valley Inn. You might recognize it from the Christmas Budweiser commercials with the clydesdale horses.

We went to Chattanooga in 2007, and stayed at this little boutique hotel. The scones were unforgettable!
